On the big screen, Peregrin Took was the clumsy hobbit who was always getting the Fellowship into trouble. But in real life, actor Billy Boyd is a smooth-talking and witty Scot with a voice like an angel. Edmontonians were lucky enough to attend a panel at Edmonton Expo, in addition to taking in a concert by Boyd and his band, Beecake. Many tears were shed as "The Last Goodbye" was sung, a song which was written by Boyd to celebrate all six of Peter Jackson's Middle-earth movies. It was a certain reminder to all of us Ringers that we won't be seeing a Jackson adaptation of Tolkien any time soon. But a Fool's hope may still remain for those who remain true...
